Online therapy
Over the last few years online therapy has become established as a conventional way of doing therapy. It is also very convenient as it allows you to have therapy from the comfort of your home and saves you time and money on travel.
I have been conducting online counselling sessions for many years well before the pandemic working with clients who lived abroad and those who moved to a different place and could no longer attend the meetings at my practice. Through these experiences I gained faith in this mode of working and can confidently say that it is no less effective than having counselling in person.
Online therapy treats the same range of problems and concerns. Whether you are struggling with depression or anxiety or want to explore your relationship and other life challenges online therapy provides a safe confidential space to do so. Once the initial rapport is established, which normally happens fairly quickly (within one or two sessions), the interaction occurs naturally and smoothly and you will not perceive the fact that we are seeing each other on screen as a barrier.
I engage the full range of therapeutic techniques when working online. This also applies to mind-body approaches, including EFT tapping [add hyperlink], guided breathing and body scan, creative visualizations and others.
